GNITC and GNIT has organized a two day international conference on Innovations in Computer Science and Engineering ICICSE-2014 on 8th and 9th August, 2014. This second conference in succession to our 1st conference held successfully during last September. The focus of ICICSE 2014 is to provide an opportunity for all the professional and aspiring researchers, scientists, academicians and engineers to exchange their innovative ideas and new research findings in the field of computer science and engineering.
As curtain raiser of the conference, we have organized two day pre-conference tutorial for the students, research scholars and faculties in the emerging technologies such as Cyber Security which was convened by Dr. C. Shoba Bindu, HOD-JNTU, Anantapur on 1st August followed by a tutorial Android Mobile Application Development by Mr. Ravi Sattanapalli, Global Competency Head from WIPRO, Hyderabad on 2nd August. We have received an alluring response for the preconference tutorials with about 325 students, faculties, technocrats not only from GNI but also various other institutions throughout AP.
More than 500 participants have sent their papers in the areas of network security, image processing, cloud computing, mobile computing, and other contemporary technologies, etc., for this conference. About 40 authors from USA, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia, Bangladesh and Ethiopia and other countries across the globe have submitted their research papers for the conference. Out of 400 papers 300 have been selected for presentation in six technical sessions. The quality of the content in the papers has been scrutinized in three phases, i.e. subject experts, plagiarism check and by the publisher who is providing ISBN no. 157 papers have been published in conference proceedings with ISBN.
The Chief Guest of the inaugural function of the conference Dr. H.R. Mohan, CSI President has made his esteemed presence in the conference as chief guest all the way from Chennai. The chief guest focused on the need of innovations in day to day life which impacts socio-economic cultures. He released conference proceedings. Dr. Chandrasekhar Commuri, Professor California State University, USA,delivered the key note address on Inovations, Technologies and its negative impacts on students and technocrats and further to state that he released Souvenir of the conference. Mrs. Swarna Bai Arniker, IEEE chair person of WIE affinity group executive committee, Hyderabad Chapter and Scientist E, RCI stressed on widening the IEEE women's Chapter in Hyderabad and women's roles in today's technologies. Mr. Durgesh Mishra, Chairman Division IV CSI from Indoor, Pofessor Dean R&D , Indore and guest of honor has focused on younger generations need on innovations in today's current technologies.
